This is what a sample page at 1afm.com looks like with a banner ad

There should have been a pop-up banner ad above; the size varies. The banner ads themselves vary widely because there are hundreds of advertisers on the network. Sometimes there are php and cgi scripts that sprawl across the entire width of the top of the page. Usually there are normal size banners. Every once in a while some creep throws in a couple of banners so that it takes up more room at the top of the page than it should, but that isn't very common. The good thing is that you can select the pop-up banner option simply by adding the no banner code to the top of your html pages (as seen on the pop-up ad page sample).
